I will be installing a Hornet 554T system in my cousin's '89 vette today or tomorrow.  Since the car isn't driven in the winter he doesn't want the remote start hooked up, does this mean I just don't connect any of the remote start harnesses and the relay pack?  I assume so but wasn't sure if one of the remote start wires was also needed for normal alarm operation.  Is there a setting that needs to be changed to tell the brain that remote start isn't connected?  Any tips or extra info anyone has for an '89 vette would also be appreciated.  Thanks.

ALL YOU HAEV TO DO IS TAKE THE YELLOW WIRE THAT RUNS TO THE RELAY PACK HARNESS AND CONNECT THAT TO THE IGNITION WIRE OF CAR THAT IS HOW THE CAR GETS THE IGNITION AS LONG AS YOU DONT USE THOSE RELAYS AND GIVE THOSE TWO HEAVY GUAGE RED WIRES POWER THE SYSTEM WILL NO THAT THERE IS NO REMOTE START BUT LIKE I SAID YOU HAVE TO CUT THE RIBBON CABLE OFF THE RELAY PACK AND CONNECT THE YELLOW AND ONLY THE YELLOW WIRE TO THE IGNITON OF THE CAR.

mecp certification is not always needed. I have it and it has not helped me out at all. my experience out shines it.

Thanks a bunch.  I was wondering why there was no switched wire in the primary harness.  :)  Thanks again.
