I am looking to install a combo remote start/alarm into a 2001 Nissan Xterra.  The xterra has a (-)hood pin Blk/PK.   Will I have to isolate the connection with a diode, or would I be better servered installing and additional hoodpin.

Same question about the door pins.

Use the factory switch that is already there and no diode is needed, good luck.

In the xterra there is maybe 3 door trigger wires that all need to be connected and diode isiolated these wires are located at the secu this is a smart entrance control unit and is to the left of the brake petal. all the door lock wires and door trigger wires can be found there.

Thanks for this info, I will be trying this this weekend.  One other questions would be if someone would have a complete wire list for the 2001 Nissan Xterra

Thanks in advance
