Hardwire GPS Speaker to Amplifier. Amplifier: Two channel 15 Watt Kenwood amp that does mono or stereo and will go from 0.3 Volts to 5 Volts, It’s a small amplifier.   This amplifier also has an extra ground for grounding out the RCA cable if needed. I'm wiring the remote turn-on to my switched power Aux panel. My question is would I need a Low Level converter for this setup? Or will 0.3 volts be enough? Other information GPS: Magellan Maestro 3.5 model 3250. (Battery Power 7Volts. DC wired to the cig lighter is the same with the conversion board built in. 12Volt DC to 7Volts DC. I’m going to hard wire this also into my switched power Aux panel with a switch. The GPS will be installed in my Dash I took the GPS apart and soldiered in a 3.5 Mono FM connection on the back. The audio cable I made is 3.5 to RCA, the RCA connects the amplifier. The speakers: two 3.5 inch MB Quarts 20-40 Watts.The set up is only for voice no music. Any other suggestion on this set welcome.

why didnt you just run from the headphone jack into the amp? it would have worked great.yuk

I too would go for the headphone approach, but if for some reason that is not an option for you, the unit having a 7 volt input would lead me to believe that there may be up to 5 volts on the speaker output.  Try it first with the gain all the way down.   If not loud enough there then turn it more toward the .3V setting.

BTW... which kenwood 15wpc amp will bridge correctly?...or are doing a phantom bridge?
