just recently sold my 15 and amp because it took up too much space in the back of my truck. what i am looking for is a good mix of low end performance/extension and sound quality. i want to build a ported box tuned in the 30Hz range and the box cant be any bigger than 3 cubic feet total including port and sub volume to be able to fit where i need it to fit.
the only sub on my list so far is an RE 12XXX, so that should give you an idea of what im looking for. i am set up with a bunch of whole sale distributors and i can get my hands on a wide variety of good subs but i just dont have the first hand experience with many of the subs, for example, i can get a JBL GTI but ive never heard one. i would love a JL W7 but i dont sell JL and will probably never sell them which brings up the problem of my truck also being a customer demo vehicle, i would hate to lose a customer because they liked my system so much that they went somewhere else to get the same sound as me. still, i want all of your recommendations because i can always set up an account with whoever.

You can't go wrong with RE XXX. :) I love JBL subs, but they are not the ground-pounders that RE can be. What other brands do you rep?

RE, Sony, JVC, pioneer, Crossfire, PPI(and its equivalents like power acoustic and sound stream), MTX, Audio control, etc. those are the brands that i do a decent amount of business with, plus i try to keep it as simple as possible. my market doesnt really allow me to have the nicer high end products in store but if i want them i can put my hands on Focal, morel, and Diamond audio, which is what im running for a front stage, i thought about maybe buying a Hex Pro 12 to match my HEX Pro components but i dont think it will give me what im looking for. RE just came out with a new sub that im also curious about, its the XX, problem is that its price is too close to a XXX to warrant the downgrade. for $100 more ill just buy a XXX. i may be able to still get image dynamics too
i sold my PPI black ice 1800 too so thats why i need an amp, if i go with something on the order of a XXX then i think ill try to get two crossfire C5 1000's running strapped to give me a true 2000W, or possibly two C5 1700's strapped! Crossfire really does make some sweet amps and they are decently clean too. i would use my Mean Machine 2000 but i want to stick with stuff i can sell off of since those amps dont exist anymore, ill just retire the mean machine and save it for a rainy day.
