I am trying to hook up the parking light wire to a Viper 5901 in my pontiac vibe. I know it is a green wire in the drivers kick panel. However I have stripped and tested every green wire i can find and can't get one to test with a positive 12 volts when the lights are on. Am i testing for the wrong thing, or do i need to look higher for this green wire.

Diagram on this site says green yes, but at the lights under the engine bay! So you may have to route a wire under the hood, unless some one else with personal experience on that vehicle has located it on the interior and can chime in!

According to Audiovox, the GREEN / WHITE wire is negative in polarity.

Here is the solution.
There are conflicts on the wiring diagrams. But the green white wire at light switch is negative polarity. Set the jumper in the viper 5901 brain to negative then hooked into the green white wire at the light switch which is around the steering column. My parking light now flash.
