hi installed a viper 5101 on a 2006 saturn vue, when i completed the install i started the vehicle with the remote start and let it sit in the carage and it stayed running for the 15 min. i had the car for most of the day and started it several times. gave the car back to the customer and she called to tell me that the car will only stay running for about 3-5min and then shutt down. any idea what can be the cause of this. i did learn the tach and i used a yellow wire at the coil.

try removing the wire from the coil and go to an injector, some cars have funky coils that do not provide a reliable tach source.

try going tachless, im pretty sure they finish crank cycle by themselves regardless of how long you hold it to crank,... try extending crank time on tachless mode it wont grind

extend crank time, it has an antigrind circuit built in. if you want to run tach, go to an injector. also, make sure your bypass is functioning.

some cars can start and run for a few min then shut off due to invalid transponder.
