Hey Guys,
I have a 1999 Chevy Silverado. Viper 5701 (DIY) and it is all hooked up and working for 8 months now but I never connected the DOME LIGHT DELAY wire. I wasn't sure where to connect it. I generally wait 20 seconds for the dome light to go out then i arm it. I forgot a few times so now I want to finish it.
Can someone tell me where to connect the Blk/Wht (-) Dome Light output?

That Blk/Wht is a domelight output...not a dome light delay input. That wire will provide a low current negative output for 30 seconds anytime you press unlock on the remote. You could tie that to one of the low current door triggers at the BCM in your 99 Silverado (tan wire in the purple plug, pin B4). This will also show the 'door open' indicator until the ignition is turned on, or it times out.
Now, to your problem of waiting to arm...just program feature 2-4 to off. It's the door-trigger error warning chirp.

Ok...that makes since. But when I arm it now (before the dome light goes out)you are correct, i get the one (1) error chirp however...it bypasses the doors so they are not active. By reprogramming the error chirp to off...will the doors arm because they are tied into the dome light?

The system will ignore the door status until the domelight goes out, then monitor them. You could also double-diode isolate the individual door triggers at the BCM, but IMO that is not necessary.

it works perfectly. I went into the menu and turned off the error chirp at arming and the door triggers still work.
Thanks Twelvoltz
