I am relocating the LED to the overhead console but when I extend the wire (approximately 8' of additional wire) the LED no longer works. I've double checked my connections to make sure I didn't get the polarity reversed and everything looks okay.

I'm wondering if that additional wiring would cause enough drop to keep the 2 volt output from powering the LED?

Any suggestions would be appreciated.
