bypass 1994 camaro security system

i got a 1994 camaro which has the computer chip inside the key andthe igniton reads it..ive talked to some dealers and they say its the ignition not the key..does anybody no of a way to bypas the system instead of me going to the dealer to have a new ignition put inand reprogramed???

Your post wasn't clear, but it sounds like you are having trouble starting the car.
Measure the value of the resistor in one of your keys. Go to Radio Shack or a car stereo shop and get one that has a value as close as possible to it. 1 1/4 watt resisor would be best. Drop the dash. Locate the VATS wires. They will be WHITE/ black and PURPLE / black up near the key cylinder. At a connector they change to 2 skinny white wires, and they may be covered by an orange sleeve. I suggest tapping into it at the thicker colored wires. Cut the two wires and connect the ends not coming from the key cylinder together with the resistor you got. Try to start car.
