Hi new here and hoping for some help.

I have a alcohol injection system on my car its progressive  boost activated and pulses the ground to vary the pump speed.

I want to hook up a purge switch to prime the pump and need a idea of how to wire it. The power and the ground are feed to the pump through the controller. I need an alternate power source and ground and a way to cut off the boost activated controller so I don't back feed power to it.

If you are concerned about backfeeding then use two separate relays. For each wire (power and ground) wire the feed side to pin 87a of two different relays. Wire the load side (the pump) to pin 30 of each respective relay. Wire Pin 87 of the power side to a power source and pin 87 of the ground side to ground.
Tie pin 85 of both relays to ground and switch 12vdc to pin 86 of each relay to activate. A third relay would most likely be needed to control a purge solenoid (it has to go somewhere).
