Ford does not seem to support the use of the factory supplied Phone button, but Lincoln does, so... whats so different?

What part or parts are needed to make the phone button bluetooth to a phone on the ford truck?

thanks in advance

are you talking about the button on the radio? if so parrot makes an excellent bluetooth kit. the ck3000 or 3200ls will work nicely with this harness also by parrot solutions bwfcss-2p.

this harness is used in conjuncition with the phone mute switch feature on most 1999 and later model radios. when the harness is installed it will, upon activation by an incoming or outgoing call, automatically mute the radio and play the call through the factory sound system. the words, “phone” or “call” will appear on the radio’s display.

hmmm, actually sounds like what im looking for.

this is the 2008 with the "Phone" button im not sure all of what will happen on the lincoln vs. the ford, is there maybe a store phone list? on this ford the button is just dead, and the customer is looking to activate its feature as it works in the lincoln.

im going to make a call concerning the parrrot piece thought, thats a ton! :)

As far as I know there is no "factory phone" from ford to work with this radio. It sounds strange, but I have never seen one. Ford does have the new Sync technology in alot of 08's, but this is not it. There is another integration harness made by cell-site. This will work with most other hands free kits like motorola etc... I initially said the parrot because it works very well, and also seems to work with a wider variety of phones.

It must, unless someone installed an aftermarket system in it. I am not sure about the Lincoln coming with blue tooth from the factory, I havent seen one but that doesnt mean it doesn't exist. Getting information from the dealer about this is like pulling teeth, dont you think?

yup haha, they said that the Lincoln has sync, the ford does not, BUT the Nav unit is the same part number in both vehicles.

thats why i was trying 12v for info, im a little disappointed in the number of replys, im sure somebody has come across this issue by now.

i will be sure to post whatever information i find on it, just to make it easier for the next guy.

the dealer isnt gonna be my savior on this job haha
