Hello All,

I can't seem to find a forum for the command starters, or maybe there isn't one.

I have a couple quick questions.

I installed an command start in my 92 ford ranger, when i start it with the command start, the battery gauge only comes up to about 11 - 12 volts. I don't think it charging the battery. When i turn the key ahead(still under command start at this point) the battery gauge comes up to where it normally runs. Anyone know why it would be doing this?

Another thing is the blower motor, it doesn't come on when the truck starts until i turn the key ahead. I have done some reading on this subject and found i need to put a relay in to connect 3 different wires for the power the blower needs. Is there a certain type of relay or are they all pretty much the same? And once this is done will it solve my Charging Issue?

Regards,

Jody

You will need three relays if three wires are to be connected unless all three normally join together. Use 5 pin Bosch/Tycho type, available from auto parts stores.

Some Command start listings are in the downloads/Manuals section here, I just entered "Command Start" in the right hand search box.
