A few months our local best buy increased their labor rates. I was just wondering if this was an isolated incident, or if it was company wide. I sold a 200 dollar bluetooth deck to a guy in a Nissan, the total ticket was 400 bucks including labor, kit, harness, and antenna adapter. He said BB wanted 350 just for labor. Just curious.

If the customer would just say they stopped at Best Buy first, My Margins would be higher. posted_image Yes, very similar pricing over here, too... (Mid-West) We played this game, alot, during remote start season with the SmartStart and Best Buy pricing. After i would quote, they would tell me "Best Buy is selling it for...?"... After they got the labor quote, we were scheduling the Appointment.

Pride apart guys what's their general quality of workmanship like?
I'm interested because of parallels here.
I can always sell against the UK equivalent because I can back up comments about their lousy workmanship with photos etc.

Amateurs assume, don't test and have problems; pros test first. I am not a free install service.
Read the installation manual, do a search here or online for your vehicle wiring before posting.

Best Buy USE to be the Best Techs around. They changed their pay scale. There are still some good guys scattered around. Alot of young faces these days.
