Wiring for Hidden Compartment?

Hello all, it's been a while since I've been around but I got reading some stuff after a buddy asked me for help automating a hidden compartment he has on his car.

I got reading about Alfred Anaya and his "traps" and wondering how he did it electrically.

it used relays, so is it as simple as using the desired input (two window switches as the basic) to power the coils of two relays, with their contacts wired in series so that both buttons are needed to be pressed for their to be continuity through the contacts?

I mean, given how technical his designs were, it couldn't be as simple as that could it?
