I dont know if this is the correct site to be posting this but I have always found good advice on this forum. I purchased some microcontrollers along with a Pickit 3 with the mistake of not being fluent in code writing. I would like to learn how to write C code, which may sound crazy, but I feel it would add another tool in my bag of tricks. My inital intent was to use them to flash leds. I know if I obtain a good understanding of this programming the skys the limit with my creativity. My question is does anyone know of a good website and/or book that I can teach myself? Does anyone have experience with microcontrollers. I'm using a PIC12F508.

The C language has been around for quite a while, so there should be some good books out there. I was
doing Quick Basic, DBase III and some other back in the day and just used the supplied manuals with the
program and compliers but C is more structured and exacting. I learned a lot by examining others code
and programming ( thankful for notations! ) Think C++ is the current version. There might even be some
evening Adult ED classes at the local community college.
