Door locks/unlock not engaging when key fob or door lock button is pressed! Can here it clicking in bcm but no output! The person before me had a remote start and didn't tape wires correctly so I moved the wiring not realizing they were bare and 12 volts touched the lock motor wire which goes into the bcm and now no locks or unlock works! Was wondering if putting aftermarket keyless entry would be easier? I need some ideas please.lock and unlock same wire hoping to bypass bcm if possible

If you fried the locks in the BCM you can't use the factory fob with a aftermartet keyless. A new BCM from dealer won't be cheap as it has to match you vehicle and be programmed. As you can't do a used one if you have a transponder (GREY) key. The vehicle won't start as the BCM has to recognize the Transponder key. If you don't have a transponder key and put a used BCM that previously had a transponder key it will update the other modules with the transponder from used vehicle and won't start. then if you put your original back in it still won't start.
If you want to send the BCM out to be fixed GOOGLE search is you friend.
You can do keyless addon but will have to wire to door lock motor wires.

Not to much info about door locks outside of the BCM trigger.
Could be a Type B Three-wire (-) pulse controlling factory lock relays. The LOCK is a PURPLE (TYPE B) and the UNLOCK is a GREEN/ RED (TYPE B) these are the DOOR LOCK SWITCH wires located in a BLACK 32 Pin plug (Plug might be different as you have a BCM but wires could be the same), You will need to verify them.

Use this link below to help identify the correct type of you have.
