Ok what I have is an 89 Toyota corolla. Ive got an aftermarket a/c and when i turn it on I want my rpms to a few hundred. below is an ecu pin out of my car. not sure if it will help but on the "e connector" it has a Vacuum switching valve [Idle up]. My car keeps dieing when i turn on my a/c.Thanks in advance.

its efi. Last year i just upped the idle a bit but when the a/c if off the rpm is so high that the throttle response is crap.

ahhh yeah that makes sense. ugh. oh well just figured it might be a simple fix for ya.. was worth a shot there.
never messed with aftermarket a/c units but I do understand precisely what you're saying in regards to the problem. idle always drops when that compressor kicks in.. drags on the engine trying to spin that pulley.
