I am in the process of installing a system in my 87 jeep cherokee probably 4 10's or 4 12's. But what i wanted to know was what people recommend doing. Whether its installing a capacitor or another battery.  If its installing another battery, could you please tell me how to go about hooking it up so it will charge. And if i hook up another battery do i need to get a bigger alternator.

Thanks for the help fellas

Getting another battery would just put a larger load on your alternator as far as charging. But it will increase the time you have bumpin your system w/ your car off(thats about all it will do). A cap will probably help the most, short of getting a larger alternator. A cap acts like a cushion for your battery. a larger alternator can be pricy.
If you hook up another battery, hook them up in parallel.
hope that helps

Ebay has high output alts at a fairly cheap price.  If you trust ebay that would be the way to go.

Its always a better idea to get a bigger alt than the anything else first.
