Where can I buy an unfused distribution block with one 14 gauge in & four 14 gauge out? Everything I'm finding is for larger wire. I haven't found anything smaller than 8 gauge.

You don't need a "distribution block" for 14awg.  Use a standard barrier terminal strip and jumpers.  Use crimp-on spade lugs on your wires.

Pardon my ignorance, but what are jumpers and crimp on spade lugs?

No problem.  These are crimp-on spade lugs.  You'll need a crimper as well.  Jumpers are little pieces of metal (usually nickel plated copper) designed to connect two terminals together on a barrier strip.  I couldn't readily find a picture on line.

All of these parts are standard electrical components and can be purchased at any electrical supply shop, or Radio Shack.

How would the terminal strip work in the place of a distribution block? From the picture, it doesnt look like it would work to split one wire into four.

You connect your input to one terminal, jump the signal to the others, and you can hook up as many as you have positions.  What are you trying to do?

Here is the layout of what I have planned:

A terminal strip is perfect for that application.

can you give me a diagram of how to use the terminal strip to split the signal? I'm not sure I understand exactly how I use the jumpers. It will probably be easier to understand once I actually see one, but a diagram would be helpful.

disregard my previous post. I went to Radio Shack & got the terminal strip as well as the jumpers & it seems fairly obvious. I'll let you know if I have any more problems.

Where I am putting the fuse on the remote wire between the head unit & the relay, would it be better for me to run the 22 gauge wire to the trunk & then convert to 14 gauge & fuse it, or should I convert to 14 gauge as close to the head unit as possible & have the fuse at the front of the car? Does it even matter?

Fuse it close to the HU.

why is it better to fuse it close to the head unit? I'm sorry I keep asking so many questions. I want to actually understand what I'm doing & learn from this rather than just do whatever is easiest.

The purpose of the fuse is to protect the head unit power supply from overloading if there is a problem in the wiring or in the equipment you are supplying.  It is always best electrical practice to place your fuses as close as possible to the source of power.  That's why your main fise needs to be at the battery, etc.
