I live in Southeastern Michigan, & am having a hell of a time finding a quality pair of wire strippers designed for high power audio system use. I have to use a utility knife & some pliers whenever I need to strip 8, 4, or 2 AWG cable. I've tried the local car audio shops, as well as the normal "tool" stores like Home Depot & Meijers. Any suggestions where I can find 'em? Thanx in advance.

Klien Tools has a pair for 8 AWG ( https://klein.sgsnet.com/products/product.cfm?Productid=11049 ). You can also find a rotary cable stripper here ( https://www.bluemax.net/products/CableTools/Strippers.htm  Part #200-009 ) Also check with your local Snap-On or Mac dealer. If you can't locate one, just go to your closest auto dealership and ask them when they come around.

I use a cigar cutter to strip them, its really cheap, and unless you work with a lot of 4gauge or 2gauge wire, there is no real reason to spend the extra cash!
