I'm installing a Remote starter on a 2004 Pontiac Vibe. I would like to remove some of the panels below the steering wheel etc.to better access the ignition wires.Does anyone how this is done?

this is a pretty basic car. no anti theft neg trig doorlocks also neg trig rear glass release. the piece you need to remove is the steering column shroud under piece. this is done with one phillips screw down by the tilt lever and one on each side of the front of the piece actually underneath the steering wheel. turn the steering wheel from straight  left 1/4 turn, take out screw then right 1/4 turn from straight and take the other out, then it pulls apart. at the column you will find the ignition harness plugged into the switch. I unplug it to access wires better. the horn is on pass side of column in three pin harness and the parking lights neg are on ds of column coming out of turn sig switch. brake is at switch, i usually unplug that too for better access. the doorlocks and tach are on passenger side underdash and kick. tach is black at pcm module under pass dash in farthest left plug. doorlocks are in kick bottom right pins of white plug blu/wht and blu/blk. write back if need anything else
