I am installing an alarm on a 1999 caravan, I have removed the bottom of the dash and the steel plate.

I am looking for the power door lock wire, I am told that is a WHITE/ dark green wire. Where is it?

I see lots of large conncectors with nuts in the middle of them, 4 on the left and 2 on the right.

The fuses are below that. There are 2 more connectors there at the bottom. I have found 3 white wires with green strips but I am not sure.

I need some hints on where this wire is. I have found the all the ignition wires for the remote start.

I think the wire is at the BCM, where ever that is. Hell I don't even know what a BCM looks like.

it is under the bcm that you are looking at pull back the carpet and you will see the 2 connectors. i believe it is the left one but not positive

there are 2 connectors at the bottom like I said. I see 3 white wires with green stripes. Which one is it, if I am looking in the right place.

I did find a dark green with white stripe but not white with dark green.

Also how in the world do you get the wires through the fire wall? I see no empty gromets.

Do I just drill my own hole, maybe right above the cable for the gas pedal?

I have worked on my cars in the past but this is the worst, there is no room under that hood.

You will have to strip back the insulation on the target wires and test with a DMM for the correct one. The coerrect one will show (+) voltage on the DMM when you toggle the lock switch. As far as empty gromets, there may not be any so you will have to go through one of the wire boots or drill a new hole. Try a wire boot as this will not be as much of a hassle .

I've done literally hundreds of these vehicles (fleet contract w/GOV.) and I know the 3 wires your talking about, if you look very close 2 of them have like a lime green trace on them and 1 with a dark GRN, this is the one your looking for. Make sure your in the harness coming from the bottom second molex conn. to your left. We couldnt find a safe way to run through the firewall on the drivers side so we drilled through the pass. side, upper center area.

I am going to give up! Spent 3 hours trying to find the white with dark green stripe wire for the door locks.

I put a multimeter on the only WHITE/ dark green wire, press the key fob and voltage stays at 5.00volts.

I even try hooking up my relays with the correct resistors and try it and nothing. The realys pulse but the door locks don't. I just don't get it. I ran the wires through the fire wall, found all the ignition wires, etc.

but this damm door lock is driving me crazy.

Oh well.....I give up!

Did you set up the relay for a negative trigger ?

Use relays and set up for negative trigger. Place a 4020 ohm resistor inline on the lock output, and a 665 ohm resistor inline on the unlock output. If you do not have a factory security system use a 1500 ohm for lock and a 250 ohm for unlock.
