Bulldog Starter

I have wired the system per Bulldog's diagram (less the domelight and locks) and one of the fuses on the red constant power wire from the relays keeps blowing after it starts. It is always the same wire.  Any ideas?

Somewhere on that wire the 12 volts is going to ground.  Check the connection on the ignition wire and the accessory wires.  Sounds like it is downstream from the rs unit if it only blows when you start it.  Good luck.  Brian

could be too much of a draw as well is it all off that one wire or are you using 2 different wires.

????  if only one then use the pink/black it has a bigger fuse to hold the load.

Check the wire make sure you dont have to much connected to it if there is nothing connected to it you might have a bad starter

It is blowing the fuse on the relays on RS unit. I have hooked both red (constant power) wires to the red and the pink/black but blow a fuse on the relay on either of them. I have also split the wires up (1 each on red and pink/black) and the same thing happens. It came with 15A fuses. Should i try a 30 or 40?

RESOLVED

Bulldog says wire the ACCESSORY /HEATER to the small blk/org of the Dodge.  It is the large blk/org. Dumbasses.

FIRST OFF....DON'T PUT A BIGGER FUSE IN IT....IT WILL MESS IT UP REALLY REALLY BADLY!!!!!!   I have done many of these trucks....Make sure that you have the correct accesory wire....it is the BIGGER brown w/ an orange stripe...then you are probably going to have to replace the ignition B fuse located at the main fuse block at the driver's side engine compartment....that should help you out....Hope I could be of assistance
