Can you add fiberglass onto a peice of fiberglass that has already dried?

I am making some kick panels for my car and I couldn't really get up into the top corner of the footwell due to lack of space and the fiberglass mat falling off. I am wondering if I could add fiberglass to extend the edges of the fiberglass peices I made, as of now they are only the back parts that go up against the car. I haven't added the mdf rings or fleece yet.

absolutely you can. just be sure to scuff the fiberglass you want to add on to with some pretty rough sandpaper. 40-60 grit will work great. posted_image
