i need a port length of 20 inches i was wondering if this is the right way to do it? the back port piece is 3 1/4. Next question i want to put like maybe a 14x14 plexiglass section not the whole top piece just a cut out. would 3/4 work or would i need to go 1 inch i dont want it to flex!

the port is correct and you can do the plexi but you would need to rabbit the mdf so the plexi mounts on the box and doesnt look bad but id use 1" plexi.

I wouldnt use plexiglass. Use Polycarbonate. It machines much better without the risk of cracking like plexi especially when drilling holes.
