Subject: fiberglassin door panels

I want to make some door pods (putting 6x9 on door) just need to make a riser[using MDF] and fiberglass, space is there just not depth in door

in the past when it was fiberglassed did not bond properly   and was easy to almost peel off any tips on how i can get a better bond with the fiberglass to the plastic

Rough up the surface with a die grinder and 50 - 80 grit sanding disc. This will help the fiberglass to adhere to the plastic.

you can also drill some hole by the edge of the panel for th efiber glass to adhear to

also forgot to ask should i use any particular hardener  and resin ?

Usually the hardener that the fiberglass comes with is OK.

You can aso use "West System" 2 part marine epoxy.

go to a body shop and ask about fusor's.  Fusor is expensive, but it will never crack.  i used it on my dash. and never had a problem
