If the dash or door panel is just used as an outline, how will the new molds attatch to the original areas? Sorry if that's a dumb question, but I'm trying to learn as much as possible before I start going nuts with this stuff.

You have to plan on attaching it somehow, or just add to the dash so that it just uses the stock mounting locations.

I would say just for convenience to remove the dash, jut away what you do not like, without cutting away the brackets, then build what you want on to the stock dash, and use the original hardware. It will be quite hard to make everything mount up as nice as the dash from the factory.

Defenetly use the stock dash, just build onto the stock dash, and do what customcarlvr said, cut away what u dont need, then fiberglass over top. Make sure you add supports to the areas u cut away, i had that problem and its not fun at all
