I found this https://www.hzemall.com/1999_vw_console.htm in a post on this board while just browsing. I really have a couple of applications I can use this on. And was wondering if someone may be able to help me out with what materials I will need. First I'm not real sure what rigid filer is, looks like you can do a whole lot with it. Also what is the texture spray that they talk about. and last but not least what do you do the paint with.

Thanks everyone sorry to sound like such a nOOb but I'm just I'm trying to get started in this stuff.

with them being in canada.... they might use something a little different, but it sounds like it is really similar to duramix 4040. other companies make it, like 3M and SEM. i have never seen it blue tho.

it is about 25 dollars a tube and about 45 for the specail gun. it comes with 1 tip. each time you use it you need a new tip, the tips come in a 12 or 30 pack i think. not all that expensive.

ther is anothe post that i just explained the texture spray on ....take a look at that.

a lot of times you can get away with a rattle can when you need saitn black.it matches a lot of factory dark grays. or if you want you can get a dye or paint mixed to match and spray it with a jam gun or even an air brush if you want to take the time to do it. air brushes just have a really small spray pattern. jam guns work better.

try this one.......it is for duramix.....,the ones that are most commonly used are the 404 and 4058. the 4058 is used to smooth the 4040. there are other great products they sell too. you just have to read about them and decide if they will fit your need.
