I have searching for some good quality Vinyl with the Carbon Fiber look to it. Preferablly the kind with a self adhesive backing. I can find little pieces for outragous prices. Does anyone know where I could buy it by the roll prehaps. Like 2 ft x 6,8,12 ft. I want to replace the cloth on my doors with it as well as the console and a few other places, so I will need quite a bit. I also went to the local fabric store a tried some of the vinyl they had there and it was horrible. The doors look like crap!

I have seen carbon fiber vinyl up close and I don't think it really looks anything like real carbon. I would suggest using real carbon, it's not that hard (if you can lay FG well without bubbles you shouldn't have any problems) and i personally think it looks 100x better. checkout carboncomposites.com (ask for rob) i got a roll (50"x36") for 30 bucks shipped. and westsystem.com for epoxy resins, this stuff is a bit pricy but well worth it if you want the look of REAL carbon in your install.

Well I have very little experiance with FG. I worked about a month building FG boats. Never did any of the true FG work, just sanding and coating. Well I just really want something to replace the factory cloth on the doors. I don't want cloth and I like I said I used some cheap vinyl from a fabric store with 3m spray and it just didn't turn out very well. Any ideas? Doesn't need to be carbon fiber or vinyl. I just want something differnt.

Yeah sam1, I checked it out, it looks good. Doesn't say if it is self adhesive? I like that look. I want to do my doors and center console, door handles etc. in a material like that. Anyone else have any suggestions. I just want to make sure that I get a good product, since I already have blown about a 100 bucks on crap that looks awful.
