die grinder?

I'm going to make a fiberglass amp rack that will be very large and it will have many curvy surfaces.  After I make the shpe out of MDF and resin the fleece and then apply the fiberglass mat and resin, I am going to apply a layer of Maraglass on the top like Alpine does.  I've heard that people use "right angle die grinders" or "die grinders" to smooth out the Duraglass/Maraglass.  Can you guys provide me with links to some of these so I can pick some out.  I don't know exactly what to look for.  I don't really care about price right now but if you can send me to any web page that has info about the tool that would be great.  It will mostly be used to grind/sand down the cured Maraglass so I can then apply a layer of Rage Gold and then sand that prior to painting.

You would be better off with a 2" DA sander then a diegrinder, the die grinder is great, I have several my self but they sometimes spin to fast and make a mess of your work......................try the DA...............I have a Chicago Pheumatic one. Snap On also makes one.

i agree with tim, the DA is the cleanest way to go,

if you catch the durglass/marglass just as it is hardening, you can shape it with a "cheese grater" or some 36 or 40 grit sand paper. it will clog the paper, but it can be blown off with air and used. if the duraglass fully hardens, the 90 degree die grinder and some 24 or 36 grit will sand it well.
