Hey yall, I was cutting some carbon fiber last night and can't help but notice that my arms are very itchy. I assume there are little bits of carbon in my skin. Anything i can do about this? Please help! My arms are itchy, ~Alvin ------------- PG Limited Edition Octane Aplifier

i would try cold water, and scrub them.
never dealt with carbon fiber, but it works for fiberglass

I would also suggest you wear some long sleeves next time, Im sure you have some carbon fiber dust in your pores. It sucks!! haha  ------------- Im a fiberglass whore!!

I know talc works great with fiberglass, maybe it will help here, too.

Cabon fiber is brutal. Get yourself a Tyvek suit and that will cure your problems. They're about six bucks and are reuseable (up to a point). Coat your exposed skin with lots of talc (baby powder) and then blow it off with the air hose when you're done.

i usualy glass in jeans and a t-shirt so i know how you feel. best thing to do is rinse them with hot-hot water, as hot as you can stand. this will open the pores in you skin and help release the fibers. also when you are scrubbing only scrub in the direction that your hair grows. when you done talc works to soothe i usualy use aloe gel (for burns).

don't scrub your arms!!! that will push the fibers in deeper...... and you deffinatly DON"T want to use hot water.. before i started using fiberglass, i installed insulation in houses. i can tell you first hand that both of those suggestions are bad ones.. you gotta use cold water to rinse off the use a mild soap and warm water.. but always start with cold water. and use talc next time

the talc helps to keep it from getting into your pores.. i know a guy that uses talc when he's finnished too, you know like a barber does to get hair of of you. you just lightly brush it off. hair/fibers stick to you because of sweat, and the talc absorbs moisture

heres what u do. I know this sounds gross but my dads a doctor and he would know.. take some of your fecies, yes ur crap and rub it on your arms leaving enough that you can have a good size handful in each hand.. next, have someone drive u to walmart in which place u will walk inside to customer service, smash both handfulls into your face and say "this is what I get for not buying one of ur $6 dollar long sleeve shirts and or talc powder!" lol just kidding man! really! Its just that I did the same thing not long ago (got fibers in my skin) and for some reason thought my joke would lift your spirits. If not, sorry. I would definitly use some aloe gel.
