how do you guys cut your fiberglass? like as in what shapes? so like... i have a coustom sub box molded to the corner of my trunk.... but how should i cut it to give the box face a cool look? do i cut it in straight lines or curves? which is easier? sorry for bad explanation kinda hard to explain....

Uh... Cut it? Do you mean cut the material to apply to the box, mat and cloth?

after you mold it.. the frays that jut out.. how do you cut the fiberglass is it in roundes angles or just straight lines..? does that clarify? sorry its really tought to explain in words..

So you made a mold of a quarter panel and are asking how to clean up the rough uneven edges? It really depends I guess. Just cut it how you want it to look.

Use a Dremel with a Cutoff wheel to clean up your edges. Then to get them perfectly smooth you can just use a sanding block.

are you talking about the lines around the foundation mold?

If so then keep them straight as you can, but corners keep curvey, its up to you really, just make sure there are no sharp corners as they are hard to wrap and look crap!posted_image
