Hey guys;

I've been lurking this site for the last little while since i've been contemplating making a new box for my grand prix.

i'm looking at FG'ing a 12" L5 into a sealed box. the whole box will be MDF except for the top which will have the L5 tilted. I know i will be using a square form that will be held in place by 1/2" dowls (using 3/4 mdf). I will be wraping the frame with fleece.

i was then looking to use the sub's box as a platform to mount my amps. i was wondering if i can incorporate wrapping a piece of mdf in the size of the footprint of my amp on the 'top' of the box? i will again use dowls to place the mdf for the amp to be screwed to.

I was planning on doing the first layer of resin then adding a few layers of FG to strengthen it up.

Does it seem like i have my basis covered so far?

and is what i'm trying to propose make sense and is it feasible?

thank you for any help you can offer.

Yeah amn sounds like a good setup. Just please make sure double and tripple check the edges where your fg and your mdf will meet. Make sure you do a good job o nthose edges if you dont youll be in fo a surprise. I like the idea of the amp rack its gonna be pretty sick just think it out but thats a good idea. Good luck
