Hi guys, I want to design custom interior panels for my 96 sunfire.  The problem is some of the panels are going to have to be removable without any visible screws etc.  How would i go about incorporating a clip or something of the nature into my design so these panels can be removed later on without destroying them.

Just to clarify, the sill plates that hold the carpet down, the clips that hold it down, that what im talking about, the or the big plastic trim piece along the back seat. I want to make custom panels to replace these.

also, for my trunk system i want to make an enclosure with the subs mounted underneath pleaxiglass so when i put things in the trunk i dont hit them. I want to make the covers with the plexiglass removable, so i need a way to do that also. Anyone have any ideas?

hey, just a thought for the clips, if you're thinking of the smae kind as are on the back of most door panels, you could take chunks of sponge, cut them to the same dimension as the clip posts, cut a slit in those, insert clip, soak in resin, attach to panel. Just a thought, I havn't attempted this, so try making one and attaching that to a small piece of board to see if this actually works.

Go to a wrecker maybe and scavange up some clips and attach with glue or resin. Then drill holes to match where they are going in,

For any project that i do that has clipon fiberglass pieces i use those serated panel fasteners. I drill a hole right through both glass pieces and then push the panel fastener into the piece i want to clip in, then i glass over top of the fastener with a couple layers of glass. If u have holes in your door for clips already or want to change the type of clip then u can redrill or use existing hole in the door.
