i was just wondering how you would go about removing windows such as the windshield or the back windows and also put them back on.  I've heard that some people use guitar or piano string to get it off?  is that right?

yeah you can even use a high lb. test fishing line.  You have to put a small hole through the silicone that holds the window down.  Slide the string through the hole.  Have a person on the out side and a person on the inside, using a sort of sawing motion go all the way around the window.  Then the window should come out(it will come out towards the hood).  Thats how to remove the front and rear windshields.  As for interior windows thats a little more complicated.

To put it back in you want make sure you remove all silicone from the glass and the window seal, the cleaner the better. Then you wan t to replace the molding, and put a bead of silicone all the way around the window seal, put the winshield in place, then use a couple pieces of across the winshield and car to hold it in place whil the silicone dries. Also there are special cutting tools that make removing the silicone from the glass a one person job and a whole lot easier, they can be picked up at the autoparts store.
