OK this is probably a really noob question but what do you guys think about Bondo-style fiberglass (called bondo-glass) and using actual resin, mat, and hardener? I have used bondo and bondo-glass and im pretty comfortable with it...

Anyways, I am doing my door panels and there is a little groove i want to fill and I was wondering if I should use fiberglass or bondo-glass? I dont want it poppig off or peeling later so I basicly just need some opinions and such.

Thanks,
-Jason

if you gonna use bondo glass just make sure that you clean it with some prep all or adheasive and wax remover or something of the sort first.

Bondo-glass should work fine for a groove that goes across the entire panel, correct? As long as I prep anyways? I have the short strand fiberglass filler... or would I be better off going with true fiberglass? Is bondo-glass the cheapo stuff or something? lol thanks

a pic would help explain what you are doing... A groove where pieces of the door come together or a curve in the shape of the door. ... A friend of mine made speaker pods in his doors and he used "tiger hair" another version of bondo glass to smooth out the pod to flush mount it in the door, then used glass around it for extra durability.

the grooves are the two lines running horizontal across the panel... i was just wanting to give the panel a more smooth look
