What do I need to make this work, I have the standard head unit with onstar, no nav.  I have been reading about all kinds of kit out there on the net and I cannot decide which one.

Right now I am leaning towards the cell-site GMCSS-3, but do I need the Loc-1 and/or the mot1000 cables?

Onstar lockpicks looks nice but they are no longer available from the manufacture unless you get the super one.

The one at Peripheral electronics looks seems to be the same thing that cell-site offers.

Anyone have similar experience with this?  if so what all do I need to order?

Well I ended up ordering the GMCSS-3 and the LOC-1.  Everything plugged right in except 4 wires; the GMCSS-3 came with a 4 prong plug for the ground, power, mute, and switched wires.  I cut the plug off and hard wired it to the matching 4 wires on the IHF1000 harness, this may have been what the Mot1000 harness was for.  So far I am please with the way everything works.

Go with the cellsite GMCSS-3, I have used this harness a lot but make sure you use the LOC-1. The IHF1000 is a good car kit depending on the phone you are using with it. If your phone has built in voice dialing (Verizon, some new AT&T phones) that can dial names and individual #'s than the IHF1000 is overkill, I would go with either the Parrot CK3000 or CK3100.
