I have an 04 Tahoe which has two cubbies in the dash which i want to add a red led in each. I have a lighted traction control switch adjacent to the area of interest. Any reason i can't use that 12 volt supply for my two leds ? I was planning to buy the ones already installed with the resistor, should I wire in series or parallel ?

Thanks for noobie tothis forum and leds

The LEDs will draw a minimal amount of current so I don't think it would hurt anything.

If the light switch is dimmable, the LEDs may or may not dim in a linear fashion with the other bulbs, but I don't think that would matter.

If both LEDs have current limiting resistors you would want to wire them in parallel.
