what is the best way the wire 7 led's for underdash lighting? i have plenty of resistors but the leads on the leds dont reach very far.

I usually cut the positive lead on the led really short, and one leads of the resistor really short, and solder it right to the bulb then seal it up with some heatshrink. you will still be left with lots of lead, I just like having the resistor as close to the bulb as possible, when possible.

otherwise you can search for LED wiring calculator, there are tons out there, they will show you various ways to wire LEDs and what resistors to use for a certain voltage.
