Ok I'm looking to wire 4 fog lights to my ram (2 flood and 2 long distance) And I would like to use one switch. Here's the problem I'm having. If I use a three position switch, how can I wire it so that two of the lights (flood lights) work on one side and all 4 work on the other side. I know it's possible but I'm terrible at electrical lol please help

Hi,
You'll need two relays, one for each set of lights, the switch you mentioned, and a diode...1N4000 series or equivalent. The wiring of the relays is identical...terminal 30 to fused battery power, terminal 87 to lights, terminal 85 to ground, terminal 86 to switch (outer terminals of the switch). The center terminal of the switch is connected to fused ignition power (a 1 amp fuse is sufficient).
The diode connects across the outer terminals. In one on position, one relay will operate, in the other position both relays operate.
