Alright so this is for my patrol car...I have a light bar on top of my car with 2 separate switches for front and rears, I have a light bar in the dash up front with a separate switch, and a light bar in the rear deck with a separate switch. I want to have each light on their separate switches, but I also want a "master" switch that will cut all the lights on with just one switch. How do I do that without having power back-feeding to each light?

Do the current switches power the lights directly, or do they trigger a relay? If they trigger a relay, do they switch ground or positive voltage to the relay? But to answer your question, 2 diodes.

They power the lights directly. But what type of diodes exactly and how would I wire it up?

If they powered a relay you could use 1n4001 diodes. Since the switches power the lamps directly you will need to use 2 relays.

Ground to 85 of both relays. Wire direct from battery via a fuse to 30 on both relays. 87 of one relay to the power wire of the front lights. 87 of the other relay to power wire of the rear lamps. Power from the output of your new switch to 86 of both relays.
