i install emergency lights port time.
one of the cars i was putting the light into. The owner ask if i could make the lights stay on when he comes to the emergency call.
when he get back in to the car after the emergency call, the light would go off automatically.
what would i need for this? (relay, diodes, ect.)

you could probably use a door triger idea so when he opens the door it turns off...

How about triggering it off of the brake switch or the parking brake? I have never had anyone ask for this and I really don't know why he would want it but some guys really like the "gingerbread" I guess.

However, if he moves his vehicle to re-position it on scene then the lights would shut off when he may still want them on. Just a thought that you might point out to him.

never done it before like I said but some sort of latching relay that would be released with the application of the brake pedal should do the trick, check out the relay section for more info.
