Hi there

i recently purchased a zig zag flash unit to use on my back brake lights.

the unit has a positive input, ground input n the two positive output feeds, one for each light. When i connected the unit to my brake lights, one each side to alternate the lamps, all of the lights flash at the same time...including my 3rd high level lamp?!

can anybody help me?? What do i need to do?? I either want to alternate just the left and right brake lights, or alternate between the left/right in the cluster, and third light (high level)

hope someone can help me??!!!

thanx

You have to isolate them with relays, from the factory the lights are all connected. One per light.

I think what you really want to do is isolate them using diode's. The wire you attatched to on the brake light! You need to put a diode in place on the wire from the car going to the brake light.

If you wanted to save yourself some money search this site for "wig wag" as the topic and me as the author. I have posted a diagram near the end of that post that would do that same for you.

To my knowledge the12volt never put the diagram in the data base for others to see.
