Check your relays/related wiring.  Are they exposed to moisture?  You may try getting your triggers directly at the switches rather than under the hood.

the relay had gina bad and i changed it and taped it all up. the th triggers have a plug in connector on it so theres no wire exposed.
could it be something wtih the ballast or more likely the wireing?

Are you telling us the relay fixed it?  Ballasts cannot simply turn on by themselves, since they only have two wires on the plug- power and ground.  If a ballast recieves power, it will turn the lights on- simple as that.  I hope you're using quality Bosch-type relays, not the Pilot junk.  You can put grease on the contacts and seal up the backside of the harnesses with silicone.

no the relay that came with it craped out and it wouldn tkeep the light on so i used the BOsch type that i always use
and that fixed the problem of the light turning on and off cause the realy was shot
but now the 1 head light turns on by itself when the car is off and when the car is on eventought u dont put the headlights on
its just the one side
i dont understand how i could be fine on day and a few hours later the thing is possesed and turining on by itself
what can it be?????
thanks for your help so far

Okay, are you using a kit that utilizes the stock connectors to trigger relays?  If so, test the stock connectors for voltage the next time this happens, and trace the problem back from there.

What vehicle is this?  You said truck, but is it a German-make or something?  If it uses stock relays to trigger your headlights, you don't need to add another to power the ballasts- you can wire them direct.
