I have found a few posts regarding this but it they did not fully meet my requirements.  I would like to get some aftermarket driving lights for my car and have them automatically come on when the car is started.  Could someone give some ideas or diagrams for the wiring.  I should not need to mess with the original headlights on the car because they can still be controlled by the existing switch.  Thanks

use a relay triggered by your ignition switch

86- ignition wire

85-ground

30- 12-volts

87- 12-volt output to your lights

87a- empty

remember if you do it this way your bulbs will burn out more often better off using your parking lights trigger.  if positive trigger then hook it to #86 on the relay.  if it is a negative trigger then as follows

86- 12-volts

85- negative input from parking lights

30- 12-volts

87- out to lights

87a- empty

Seeings the 87a output is not used, it would be a SPST
