Hello all, I was wondering if what I have drawn up is possible.

Just basically, when I have my amp on(toggle swicth) that a led will show, and when I turn the switch off to turn the amp off, that another led will show that the amp is off,but still have the deck playing. So basically swicth the amp on/off.

And if so What value of Resister/Diodes do I need.

yeah that would work, just there is a good chance you get feedback of somekind, you will need a 390 ohms resistor ( for a 2.6v - 4.2v led) but not sure about the diode

Do I have to add a transistor on the D1 Line to maintain a 12V or will the 9 volts (approx) be enought to turn on the amp? I can post a pic if needed!

I was told today that the amp needed a constant 12v on the remote.

Is this correct?
