Application: 1997 chevrolet 1500 pickup
I got a pair of 3157 LED taillights (red) by APC last weekend. The package indicated that the 3157 would work in place of my stock 3057s. I replaced the stock bulbs with the new LEDs and tested them. the turn signals double flashed and when i turned on the parking lights, the fuse blew...repeatedly. I heard that in order to make these work, i need a variable load or heavy duty flasher to replace my stock flasher.
question 1: where can i find a flasher replacement (I already checked auto zone and Oreillys
question 2: will getting a new flasher keep the fuse from blowing when i turn on the parking lights?

you can never have too much of a good thing
I believe if you find an electronic contolled flasher, that should solve your trouble. there's is not enough load for your factory style flasher to work with the LED's

i'd say take it to where u bought it, explain the problem and maybe they can tell u whats going on. if that doesn't work, i'd say find a suitable current that can run them with a fuse that will last and run it through a relay so when the parkers turn on the relay turns the circuit on, i hope this helps, good luck
