I have a blue neon lights under each dash and light up pedals.

I had a standard toggle switch controling both the neon lights and pedals.

I bought a LED light up switch from Advanced Auto that lights up when switched on looks like this with the 3 prongs....one says POS, middle one says ACC bottom says NEG.

Ever since i hooked it up i keep blowing a 30A fuse. My question is the fuse to small of Amps or my wiring could be wrong. I was using a 30A fuse before and everything was fine.

Now the fuse is blowing. Since the switch lights up do i need a bigger amp fuse? I wouldnt think I would.

So to save some time can someone please tell me the basic way the wiring should be hooked up?

I just want the switch, neon lights and pedals to light up when i turn on the switch.

Thanks

Bruce

Does the fuse blow as soon as you hook up the wires? Or when you switch them on.

First of all, your fuse is WAY too big.  You should have a 5A on there, if you are just running two neon tubes.  You could probably get away with a 3A if you could find one.

The POS terminal should go to a fused 12VDC source.  The NEG terminal should go to ground.

The ACC terminal should go to the + of your neon transmormer, and the - of your neon transformer needs to go to ground.

i agree.  remember you are adding a light to the circuit.  the switch will still work without the (-) wire connected, it is only for the light on switch.
