I am trying to figure out how to hook up daytime running lamps for my truck. I currently drive a 2004 Dodge Dakota SXT . If you have any information please let me know! Thanks!

useing relays you should be able to power upthe headlights. if you dont know how to wire the relays let me know

12volts pnk/blk (50A), RED / lt blu(40A) +  ignition harness
Ignition dk. blue (16 AWG)  +  ignition harness
Parking Lights+ BLACK / YELLOW  +  headlight switch
Parking Lights- RED / yellow  -  CTM, 26 pin plug, pin 4
Notes: The CTM (Central Timer Module) is in the driver kick panel.
Headlight purple (L), PURPLE / red (R)  +  CTM, 12 pin plug, pins 4, 5
Notes: The CTM (Central Timer Module) is in the driver kick panel.
Trunk/Hatch Release N/A    
Power Sliding Door N/A    
Speed Sense WHITE/ orange    PCM on pass fender, blk plug, pin 13
Wipers purple (L), RED / gray (H)  +  steering column
LF Window up/dn lt. blue - white  A  driver window switch in door
RF Window up/dn BROWN / white - PURPLE / white  A  driver kick, door harness
LR Window up/dn dk. blue/white - RED / black  A  driver kick, door harness
RR Window up/dn gray/black - dk. GREEN / WHITE  A  driver kick, door harness
Sun Roof open/close N/A    
Sun Roof Limit/close N/A    
Memory Seat 1 N/A    
Memory Seat 2 N/A    
Memory Seat 3 N/A

things you will need a DMM., 3 single pole double throw relays 16 agw wire female spade conectors, solder iron and solder, electrical tape, and (2) 5amp fuses

first locate the headlight wires with DMM. next cut one of the wires in half  turn on the headlights and test the wire you cut the 12V side the the swith side and the other is the headlight side. hook up to relay as in diagram. repeat for the other wire

for 12v batt ,with an in line 5 amp fuse use

12volts pnk/blk (50A), RED / lt blu(40A) +  ignition harness

for 12v switched , with an inline 5 amp fuse use

Ignition dk. blue (16 AWG)  +  ignition harness

as for the line tied in to the e brake use
Parking Brake WHITE/ black  -  CTM, 16 pin plug, pin 8

thi will allow the light to be shut off when the e break is on

ground, some metal in the driver kick panel  will do

Im trying to do the exact opposite, my car has daytime running lamps, how do I turn them off? How can i bypass or keep them from coming on?

because i have an audio system and I want to keep from draining my battery and I forgot what kind of light bulbs I have but the package said not to let them run for too long, lol...kinda hard when I drive alot and have Daytime running lamps

it was 130am when i read your post so i could not figgure out that all you need to do is pull the DRL fuse,  problem solved
