I am going to install a head unit in my son's 98 Mitsubishi Galant.  Most likly the speakers will be changed out also.  I need help on what is the best unit out there in the $300 and under range.  I need pre-outs for a sub, bluetooth for a cell phone, and Ipod hook-up or aux in.  I see some also charge your Ipod for you.   Any help would be most greatfully appreciated.  Hey I am 50 and remember when 8-track was the big thing, now its just over the top on what is available....the reason for $300 and under is I am cheap...well, I just don't think anyone will be to interested in a lower end unit and maybe not try to steal it.    Thanks.

Lyle

The deck could have a value of 69$ and a crack head will still see dollar sign's.

Look at the Alpine line. https://www.alpine-usa.com/US-en/ Look at the prices....

CDA-9884. Should come with the ipod plug, the BT is extra KCA-100BT, around $220.00

I'm not too sure you're GOING to find a head with iPos and Bluetooth for three notes... One or the other, maybe, but even then it's going to be close. Another option... Find a better quality head unit with JUST iPos control, one that'll do it all (except the Bluetooth) for you already, then add a Parrot Universal Bluetooth adapter later, when you HAVE to have the functionality.

Those start around 80 bux at Circuit City, or I know Bob (aka tcss) is a dealer in the San Luis Obispo area.

It all reminds me of something that Molière once said to Guy de Maupassant at a café in Vienna: "That's nice. You should write it down."

There is currently a close out on the Alpine CDA-9883. If you can find one, it should be at a discount and include the I-Pod cord. Don't look for the KCA-100BT bluetooth adaptor, get the KCE-300BT, it's a much better piece. I'm sold out, but when I had them, everything would have run around $380.00.

There is no such thing as free installation!
